Okay so I have kind of a weird issue -
I've always been petite (5"1, F), but feel like most of my 20s have been spent slightly chubby and in denial. Not overweight, but consistently around 55kg (121lb) up to 57kg (126lb) at my heaviest. This is right on the border of normal and overweight BMI. I hated my thighs in particular and would always dress to cover them up. However living in Northern Europe I was mainly wearing jeans anyway so nbd. Also I have a small chest so think this contributed to me still looking petite.
The last few months I have finally started to take fitness seriously and make an effort to lose a few lbs. Since June, doing mainly CICO using calorie tracking apps and HIIT workouts on top of my regular exercise (yoga and climbing) I am now at my goal weight of 50kg (110lbs) and feeling and looking great - currently working on building muscle definition.
Problem is, it seems to be working too well? I have really managed to ditch a few bad habits (main culprits: late night snacking, cake after lunch). Through eating less, I feel like I am way less hungry and can physically eat less. I also have very little desire to snack.
I am no longer actively tracking calories but still seem to be losing weight? Does my body have some kind of "natural" weight that I will stop at when I get there? Or do I now have to make a conscious effort to eat more to maintain my weight? I think if I lose much more I will start to look a bit emaciated and unwell... My boobs might also literally disappear!
Anyone been in a similar situation? Just feels a bit wrong to eat when i'm not hungry or eat calorie dense foods after all these months of trying to reduce caloric intake.
