So i'm beginning my long journey with CICO. I've tried calorie counting before but never actually set myself a realistic goal. This time I am motivated. I am going to do this. With Coronavirus, and in the UK, you are classes as vulnerable if your BMI is over 40. Mine is, and therefore i cannot return to work just yet. It is so embarrassing explaining to your boss that you cannot go back to work yet as you are too fat.
Im currently eating 2000 Calories a day and losing between 3-4 lbs a week. Its hard some days with the hunger but i'm assuming they will go away with time as i'm only 3 weeks into this journey. My TDEE is 3775. Im really asking if this is sustainable health wise? I can continue to eat 2000 calories a day, but should I? From what I've read online, i'm probably going to lose weight at a quick rate in the beginning as i'm morbidly obese.
My current goal is to get to 294 lbs. Its not much, but its the starting goal, and i will continue beyond that point to about 210lbs. I dont have a bottom line in mind. Im not sure what that should be but im sure it will become clearer along the way.
I do like to cycle most days. Its the only form of exercise i enjoy without seeing it as exercise. I average about 10k 5 days a week, and according to my Apple Watch, burn about 250-300 calories along the way. I haven't been eating back exercise calories as Ive read its not beneficial.
Im loving this sub, and have been visiting for the past month or so, and seeing everyone's posts about their own journey and progress pictures are such an inspiration and additional motivation. You will see mine here one day. Thank you for any advice you could provide.
