Looking for advice following a night of drinking

Hello!

Long story short, I’m about 12-13lbs down but last night I had a few (a lot) of drinks with friends. Since I very rarely ever drink, it’s not something I’m super worried about and I’m definitely not beating myself up for it – it was a nice night, and I had a good time.

I’m up about 1.4lbs this morning, which I obviously expected (both from drinks and food), and I was just wondering what’s the best way to deal with eating the next day. I’m not hugely hungover, but I’m definitely craving some junk food. I had originally planned on eating pretty light – meat and veg – but naturally I think I kind of need those carbs to soak it up a bit.

Am I best just trying to stick to my regular calories, even if that involves some junk, just for today? I let myself off last night, but I’m worried about indulging a little too much and getting off track. Do I eat the lighter meals that I’d planned and just hope it does the job?

Like I said, I practically never drink (let alone since trying to lose), so I’m not sure how to handle the day after!
