How do you get over not wanting to buy new clothes until you're closer to your goal weight?

This is an issue I've had for years. I hate buying anything that's meant to fit a specific way (jeans/dress pants, button-ups, etc.) Because I feel like it will be a waste once I get to my goal weight. Rationally I know the weight isn't going to disappear overnight... I'll still likely get at least a few months worth of these clothes, and even after I lose the weight, I can get a lot of the stuff tailored for a few dollars to fit me. Yet when I look at jeans or button-ups, I feel like it's pointless to buy them now.

I know it's not rational. Does anyone have any ideas how to deal with this/get over it?
