Hi Everyone. I am coming here to see if anyone can lend any support or suggestions, if they have been in my situation before.
I (30f) am having issues with fast food. Every time I am in my car I begin to crave fast food. And when I pass a restaurant I have to literally fight with myself to not pull in. And most times I can't convince myself to not - even when I am not hungry. My weight has fluctuated my entire life, but I would say over the last year I have gained 20 lbs and I believe that this habit has contributed to that number greatly.
I am aware are extremely unhealthy this is and I am embarrassed to speak about it to anyone. I am concerned with my health but it is like when I am deciding to pull in, ordering, and eating in my car, it is a blur. One thing I think I can contribute this to is that I have quit smoking (mostly) and so my cravings for a cigarette while driving has turned cravings for food, and I don't know which is worse.
If anyone has any advice, suggestions, insight, or similar experiences PLEASE share.
