29M, current weight, above 210 (my pants usually stop fitting at 215 and I’m getting close)
I work in a very demanding career, I work as a first responder. We just purchased our dream home, and finally moved in. Next step, babies.
I want the best for my family and future children. My wife and I are somewhat successful (we feel successful).
I have always yo-yo’d with weight gain/loss following high school, I’ve never found a way to change my life style. It’s tough, or maybe I’m just lazy.
I did a fitness challenge last year and lost 20 pounds, I won, my before/after photos were posted on an Instagram page with 100,000 followers. I felt amazing, fast forward to today, I’ve gained that weight back, plus 10 ponds.
Isn’t it crazy how we spend so much on personal training, gym memberships, fad diets and now I’m sitting here, worse than I’ve ever been.
Queue the YouTube videos, “men’s body transformations” “fat to fit” “best way to transform your body”, my brain has decided tomorrow will be the day, I begin eating healthy and work out, except I have no goals, no plans, no motivation.
Maybe I should quit the rambling.
I want to do this properly, I want to change my eating habits, develop a gym routine, get back into competitive long distance running. Which one do I do first, or do them all? Do I go full force and decide to completely change my life in 1 day? How harsh do I need to be.
Anyone reading this who is a 20s male starting around my weight, and have been successful, I’d love for you to PM me, I wanna see before photos and what you look like now. I can feel that this time is the time it’ll work, but I want to do it right.
