I've been trying to lose weight for a while. I am currently almost 228 pounds and around 5'2 or 5'3. I'm 17 now and I've been overweight all of my life. I joined JROTC for my sophomore year of highschool and fell in love. I'd always considered the military, but I immediately knew it was something I wanted to follow through with. Just this last year I went to a different school that doesnt have a unit, but next year I'm going to one that does. I want to commission, so I want to go through college and ROTC. I'm tight on money, so an ROTC scholarship will help. I have until December 31st this year to be in height-weight standard and to pass a PFT.
The max weight for my height is 150- so I have 78 pounds to lose at the very least. I'm aiming for around 140 to give myself some room for error, so I'm looking at looking closer to 90 pounds. It's going to be hard but I'm sure I can do it. I'm starting on testosterone this summer (im trans) and i know that helps some guys when it comes to building muscle and muscle helps burn fat.
I do 100 pushups a day and PT whenever i can. I'm trying, but I need some way to hold myself accountable, so I figured I could post it and keep everyone updated.
