Both a high point and low point in one day

What a day. I’ve been trying to lose weight for just over 3 months now and am down 26lb (wahoo! Lowest weight in over 5 years) so I thought I’d take my daughter to the pools, they have new hydroslides. Since I was feeling pretty good about myself i thought what the hey I’ll try on my swimsuit from years ago that I adore but it hasn’t fit me for a decade. It fits! Feel like a million bucks and we head to the pool, walking on air and feeling cute.

After going down the hydroslide a couple of times I’m walking back to the stairs to go up again and I step on the grating that allows the overflow or splash water to drain through (you know the type that are on the edge of all pools). It broke and I end up almost knee deep in a drain and smashed my knee against the edge of the floor. Here I am bruised and bleeding and all I can think of is that all these teenagers are going to think I broke it because I’m fat. It crosses my mind did this happen because I’m too heavy?? I’m 5’9 and 182lb so yeah I’ve got about 24lb left to lose but I didn’t think I’m at the point where I break things. So fucking mortified. And sore. Way to ruin a NSV day.
