Hi! I'm currently about 190 - 189 lbs and recently started the LoseIt app. (Just to be safe, I put 190 on the loseit app.) My back story is about 10 years ago, I went from 240 lbs to 190 lbs - which took me quite awhile but at least it happened. Anyways, I chose to get serious about dropping some more weight because I would like to hit 120 lbs.
The app projected (even with a sedentary livestyle because I believe I put I wasn't going to be too active - I'll elaborate on this a bit because that's not the case anymore) that I'll hit the goal by November of 2021. That's totally fine and reasonable. I'd rather lose the weight slowly and keep it off.
Anyways, out of curiosity, I put in my regular food consumption for "day 1" (which I'll admit consists of a lot of eating out/eating out for all 3 meals) and it was at a whopping 2,160 calories (meaning if I was actually strict - I would have gone over by 692).
Afterwards, I got serious on the dieting/cutting out unnecessary calories and just to list (from Wednesday/the day after my last day of eating normally) this is how many calories I had gone under in the recent 4 days: 14, 123, 22, and 434. Would the 692 I legit went over affect the calories I went under or the weekly calorie intake needed to lose 1 lb? My calorie budget is currently at 1,354 for the first week.
So far it seems the difference would be 113 calories. (Subtracting 579 - the total of the calories I had gone under - from 692.) I think if I get another day under 100 calories or more, would I be safe or under starvation mode if my goal is at 1 lb a week to lose? Also, speaking of the activity change, I've also started doing exercises as well because I'd like the added benefit of being able to lower blood sugar by at least trying to be active 30 minutes a day since that's as much time as I can squeeze in. One day I'll do weight work outs, another day I'll do cardio and pretty much alternate accordingly.
Update: I did check the LoseIt app and apparently it states: Prior to today, I'm 533 calories over my weekly budget. (If I included that "day 1" log.) Should I be counting that last normal day in the app or the actual day I started as day 1?
