What am I missing?

27M 6’1 CW 208

Like many others, I recently had enough with the excuses and sitting around all pandemic, and decided to make a change for the better. I began around 3 months ago, at my heaviest weight of 222. I began with 30 minute HIIT exercises 4x a week, and being more aware of my diet. Within the first two weeks, I was down to 215, which is where I have been hovering for the prior 4 years - and assume the rapid weight lost was mainly water weight. After another two weeks or so of that regiment, I didn’t see any more changes on the scale.

At that point, I began to track calories again on LoseIt. I also started lifting 3x a week, and switched to cardio 2x. I’ve been consistent with weighing every meal I can, and tracking as accurately as possible. I don’t even track the workouts in LoseIt, and just let those calories out provide a buffer for my calories in. After nearly 2 months I’m now down to 208, which is the lowest I’ve been in ~4 years. Despite sticking to my caloric goal, some weeks I’ll lose 2 pounds, and others will be basically nothing.

I’m completely motivated to continue with my goal, but looking for help on consistency or advice in general, especially with managing macros as I feel this may be an opportunity for me.

Thank you all, may we keep fighting the good fight 😊
