Under 190 for the 1ST time Sw:224 CW:189 Height 6'2 M

Hi im a 1st time poster here, i have been lurking in this sub for a while but wanted to share this result that has i guess meant a good bit to me. I am a medical student also pursuing an additional graduate degree. The latter half of 2020 i started grad school and put on a lot of weight bloating up to my heaviest of 224 maybe even higher. was eating pizza drinking lots at zoom byobs and just not really caring about my health due to school and work stressors. Since December-January regularly going to the gym 5x a week and recently added 16/8 intermmittent fasting. Only thing i want to do is maybe drop down to 175 180 ish range for weight but very scared of this plateau i hit around the 190 mark it seems that my body/muscle comp just has cravings for a lot of protein and whenever i seem to eat at maintenance i just wont lose weight without strict restrictions or fasting. Obviously it is harder to lose the weight the lower weight you go but would really appreciate some advice. My exams are ending soon and im linking up with lots of friends at parties who again love to eat and drink and the food is really good and tempting but going to try my best to shed off these final pounds. anyways i know this isnt really all that comparable to some of the incredulous feats posted on here. But look forward to mooching off the energy and motivation in this sub. Sorry if everything is poorly formatted or whatever not really a huge redditor but cool. again thanks
