Shift in mentality...

I recently recommitted to low-carb, bordering on keto but with some flexibility, and regular workouts. I have PCOS and have found recent weight gain demoralising, and yesterday morning I weight in with a 4lb loss after a week of hard work. Then yesterday evening I had a cheat meal after a day of fasting in preparation, and I knew that because of the higher carb and salt content it would lead to a gain, although in terms of actual calories it would not lead to even a single pound of actual fat gain. I did indeed weigh in this morning and saw a higher number on the scale, and didn't feel at all upset - I knew there would be water retention and that's what the scale was reflecting, and I didn't plan to deprive myself in retaliation today or anything like that.

Taking the punishment out of this journey is what will make it successful, I believe it!
