How do you not feel bothered by what other people say or just small things that happen?

Please feel free to remove this if this is too off topic, Mods!

I've been tracking my calories, getting more steps in, and consciously feeling better about my body as I've been progressing since October/November. Since then, I've lost about ~25-28lbs and overall since my heaviest, I'm down about 40lbs.

Recently, I was able to finally button up a shirt I've had in my closet for a year! It was a great NSV for me and I had been feeling great! I went out with a friend in the shirt and they comment they haven't seen me in it before and I kinda tried to brush it off and say that I have and they just haven't noticed. Eventually, we went back and forth until I say that I recently started being able to wear it buttoned up and even though they asked innocently, I had to explain I was too fat to button it before. I know I'm being sensitive, but I don't know, it really made me feel awful--I thought I was finally making some visible progress, but I guess I haven't really.

I've been feeling down about it, and then recently with the same friend and someone else I felt kinda the same. It had gotten cold at night, so I let the both of them borrow my jacket. They started out alternating, but ended up both being able to fit in the jacket. I know I'm a big person and that my jacket is a bit oversized, but it just made me feel gross that two people could fit in my jacket at once. Seeing them in it, really kept making me feel weird, so I got them to stop by joking about stretching it.

Anyone have any similar experiences? I know I'm being too sensitive, but please let me know of any advice or suggestions you have to not letting these things get to your head!
