F/27/4ft 11in SW 250 CW 234.8 GW 130ish?
I know it may not seem like much yet, but dang it, I'm excited about this. I started shortly after the beginning of April and have been overweight my whole life. I've seen a little change in my face and arms and I'm proud that I've done this much so far. I can't wait to keep going.
I'm not going to lie, logging my food while also cooking for a 5 year old and a tall husband is a bit of a challenge. However, it's definitely getting easier and easier. I don't even miss regular sodas anymore! One day, I'll kick the habit entirely and hopefully be confident enough to eyeball some of everything else but until then, this is the new normal. And it's not as bad as I thought it would be.
If it helps anyone at all, some of the things that are difficult for me are a lack of sauces. One of the things that I've done that's helped is mixing some greek yogurt with ranch packet seasoning (while still measuring it all out). It keeps me fuller for much longer and I feel like I use less than if I had even used regular ranch since it's thick!
Fiber one bars and yasso yogurt bars are also a godsend. Low calorie, easy, and they scratch the sweet tooth without blowing through my calories for a day.
Also, pizza roll ups. It sounds weird, but I separate 2 low calorie wraps into 2 pieces, cut up two mozzarella sticks in two, and wrap them up (sometimes I include turkey pepperoni as well). Then, I spray a pan very lightly with cooking spray and cook them on low and rotate them throughout the process. They're perfect to dunk in marinara sauce and my son loves them!
If anyone has any suggestions on some good lunch recipes for a family with different needs (but a 5 year old who is more than happy to share some opinions), I'd appreciate it!
Keep up the good work ya'll! We can do this.
