Not a non scale victory I'd ever imagined happening, or even considered really but it just occurred to me.
I am the only fat person in my circle of friends, the rest are all not super skinny but definitely on the slim side. Especially one of my close mates; whenever I would visit his house I would find myself painfully hungry within 2 or 3 hours of eating lunch, even after drinking like 5 cups of tea. I just couldn't understand how those cups of tea were enough to sustain him and felt so embarrassed asking for more food all the time.
I've been eating health conscious for about 2 months now, and I've only lost 5kg (11lbs) but the change on my appetite is really noticeable. I find myself actually sustained by my lunch until dinner time, or 4-5pm at least where I might have a small snack. And my lunches are also way smaller than they used to be too. I just really had no idea how much I used to eat and I don't have that embarrassment anymore when I go to people's houses. It's the small stuff like this that can bring some really surprising motivation and rewards.
