Recently quit drinking to help me lose weight

Title basically sums it up. I was drinking to excess and those calories added up causing me to gain weight. I’ve been sober 11 days. I started working work with a trainer Saturday’s and Sundays to push myself. They have a whole exercise program for me when I go. I’ve started going in to work early to use the gym and do the homework my trainer gave me. It’s mostly stretching and some strengthening exercises for about 40minutes. Then I do about 20 minutes on the treadmill. I’ve been eating pretty healthy. I haven’t had much of an appetite lately so I’m not overeating. I am going to start tracking calories again and get a Fitbit or something like it.

Anyways that’s my background. I really want to lose weight and my question is are there any supplements that maybe I can incorporate? I’ve barely seen any results and I know it’s going to take my body some time to get better. Anyone gone through this? Should I cut out sugar or carbs? I’ve probably cut out 2,000-3,000 calories a day just by quitting drinking.

I’d really appreciate some feedback. Thank you.
