24 y/o now and I've been overweight since the 4th grade, honestly. Lately, my depression and anxiety has been making me stress eat a lot of cheese-related meals and gained 20 lbs in roughly 6 weeks to the heaviest I've ever been: 182 lbs. Back in HS, i went from 162 to 144 over the span of 5-6 months before prom (finally being able to fit a size med!). Now, the 3 major things that has been added on since then are: 1) increase in my depression (at least tripling since then and i was diagnosed that year in HS with major depression), 2) anxiety to the point that it makes my stomach boil and bowels a bit loose, and 3) went on birth control which i know may cause bloating.
Beginning Dec 1st, I'm going to go on a low dairy, low sugar "diet." Basically my rules are no pepsi (coca-cola kills my stomach), only filtered water to drink, only cheese I'll eat is shaker parmesan, add some veggies to whatever I'm eating for main meals (beans, corn, green beans, tomato), absolutely no take-out/fast food, and add some more meat to fill me easier (just chicken, don't like turkey, beef, pork, or vegan meat).
Dec start: 182 lbs
Now, if anyone would like to add any tips on food/drinks, plz keep in mind that I've been traumatized from my adoptive mom on trying new food to the point that i may say "I'll give it a try" to try to avoid the awkwardness of being so damn picky. I basically have to go through a "trust phase" with food/drinks.
Wish me luck and I'm wishing myself luck.
