Back in 2019 I lost close to 80lbs through good ol CICO and moderate exercise. I was loving my new life and ended up meeting my husband and having a baby in early 2021. Unfortunately for me I ended up gaining back all the weight I had lost during pregnancy because I just ate whatever I wanted or was craving.
I have been trying for the past two years to lose the weight again and I haven't gotten very far. For a long time my husband and I were on opposite schedules to avoid having to pay for childcare, which meant there was no real time to go to the gym or prioritize my health. Now my daughter is older and my husband and I both got new jobs. Things are really starting to fall into place for us and we are getting the time and space to work on ourselves physically. On top of that, a very generous family member gifted us a gym membership that includes childcare during the week.
I went to our new gym for the first time yesterday, and outside of some very uncomfortable shoes it went great! I skipped today to invest in better shoes and I will be going back tomorrow. For the first time in two years I feel confident that I can lose the weight again and get back into a body where I feel more comfortable and happy!
