i’m travelling to some remote parts of Georgia (the country) in a few days. the traditional cuisine looks delicious but is not really represented in food tracking apps. how do i track my food intake in this scenario?
they have a lot of meat skewers, which would probably be easiest to estimate. but i want to try more than just meat skewers.
i was thinking of packing some multi-vitamin protein sachets. and that when we land in Tbilisi, i could buy some easy to count foods (such as nuts and veggies/fruits) and subsist mostly on those while we travel around the more remote parts of the country. i’d be slightly limited in my ability to consume the foods in the restaurants: i’d just eat small portions of the cuisine just to try it. i just would have no idea how to log those portions though..
does anyone have any experience with maintaining your diet while travelling abroad in remote areas? any tips related to diet while travelling are welcome.
also, would it be ridiculous to bring a food scale with me?
