i hate plain eggs. the texture, the taste, even the smell. even when eggs are in other meals (breakfast sandwiches, ramen, burritos) i have to ignore the fact i’m eating eggs or else i’ll be revolted. but i know they are packed full of protein and good nutrients, so i convinced myself to try them this morning. i thought to myself, i should have these BOILED (ie the eggiest way to eat an egg) because there will be fewer bites (not sure the logic but okay).
i made two boiled eggs. put them in a bag with two dill pickles with salt and pepper.
y’all. they were edible. tasty, even. what’s worse? i was satiated and full for SIX HOURS. what’s WORSE?!! IT WAS ONLY ~140 CALORIES!!
so now i /have/ to keep eating eggs. i am going to fully stockholm syndrome myself into being an egg convert. no yolk. nothing else has had such a great keeping me full to low calorie ratio. honestly wasn’t bad with the dill pickles but i think hot sauce or something spicy would help too. that’s all. thanks for listening.
