Need help with motivation to get started.

Hey friends. So, I want to start by saying that I’m still at what’s considered a healthy BMI. I also want to say that I know BMI is outdated and there’s more to it than that, but as an insecure 20 year old girl, I really base myself on it.

I’m not overweight, but I’m quickly gaining. My metabolism is slowing down and I do not eat well at all. I’m a busy student so I also don’t exercise at all. By at all, I mean I don’t even take walks.

I’ve tried a couple times over the pandemic to start a workout routine but nothing ever stuck. I’ve also tried to start eating better. I’ve discovered I have a completely dysfunctional relationship with food, but that’s another story.

I just want to start a routine of taking care of myself before it becomes too hard. I don’t like how I look anymore at all. Over the last 6 months alone I’ve gained weight and rolls and everything else.

I joined this subreddit honestly just because you guys inspire the hell out of me. Reading your success stories makes me so proud of you and amps me up for all aspects of my life, not just fitness.

So my question is...how do you do it? What’s a good starting point? Thank you so much.
