Weight loss making hair fall out

So this year I wanted to dedicate myself to being healthy and getting back in shape after having my kids. I have lost 39 pounds since the start of this year and went from a size 18 to a size 12. I am so happy! But this last month I noticed I am losing so much hair in the shower and when I brush it, it’s stressing me out (which doesn’t help) and I’m worried about the amount I’m losing. I’ve done some research that says this is common when you lose a lot of weight, but I’m curious if anyone’s gone through this themselves? How long did it seem to last and did anything help it? I’m already eating all the foods that are recommended to help hair growth and I’m taking a hair skin and nails multivitamin too. I’ve always had thin hair anyway so I feel like I just can’t afford to lose as much as I am. In the shower it’s like chunks come out.

Appreciate any feedback, thanks 😄
