Seeking advice to lose 40 pounds (27F)

Hello all.

I am 27F, and lately due to anxiety, personal issues, loss of motivation & being more sedentary I have reached my max weight. I had indulged in eating out more and stopped doing sports (I was dancing several times a week). I have never felt worse physically than right now.

Last year I have gained around 8 kg (17 lbs) in less than 6 months.

I am currently 85 kg (187 lbs) and my height is 163 cm (5"4).

I used to be 69 kg (152 lbs) around 8 years ago and I was feeling a lot better despite still being overweight.

For 2 months I have been cooking more home and eating a lot healthier. I have progressively resumed dancing : zumba + afro dance 1-2 a week however my weight doesn't decrease at all, it only remains stable.

Is it that my metabolism has got even slower due to my age or what is happening?

I would really like to lose that weight for my health and even lose more (ideally 64 kg, 141 lbs).

Are there some sports that make you lose faster? And I have seen people mentioning some apps that helped them track their food intake/calories... do they work fine? If yes, can I have some app names?
