I'm currently on day 2 of my Insanity/ workout change. I'm 6 foot 7 and currently 338lbs. I was always a bigger guy. Not morbidly obese, but I played offensive line for football throughout high school and even into college. My sophomore year of college, I got down to 260lbs. I eventually met my wife. We dated for a while. I got to 318, the biggest I had ever been. We eventually got married in July of 2017 and I got back down to a respectable 280lbs.
Well two years later and two kids later, I measured myself on Saturday and I was 338lbs. I'm only 28 years old. I couldn't believe it. So I downloaded the beach body app, and started Insanity. I used to do it in college, I figured I could still do it. Boy was I wrong. It kicked my butt.
I have a long way to go. I'm just sitting here dying and a little discouraged. There was no way I could keep up with those people. Heck, they're all in shape and were needing breaks. I had to sit out a whole 3 minute set because my heartrate was so high, but I made it to the end. Shirt drenched, I made it. I feel like crap, but also feels very good. I know I have to keep this up. I have to be healthy for my wife and two little girls. I have a trip planned the weekend after New Years, I'm hoping to be to 300 by then. Realistic goal is 310.
