Hi all, I’m an 18yo girl and I weigh 260lbs. I know what you’re thinking, how did she let this happen. And I’m not entirely sure to be completely honest. I’m now in college and I’m attempting to lose weight, once again. However, my friends are telling me I’m not going about it in the right way.
Right now, I’m trying to do CICO. My caloric intake is around 1,300 a day, but I don’t have a very active lifestyle, although I am going to try and turn that around (surely but slowly). I would love to do keto, but that just won’t work on a college campus, based on the foods that are available to us, and I can’t necessarily afford to pay for keto meals out of pocket every day.
I’m cutting out pasta, pizza, most processed foods, and most sugary things. I’ve been mixing it up and I’ve been eating more greens, chicken, rice, carrots & hummus, and fruits. I drink a substantial amount of water a day, and I drink fruit smoothies a couple of times a week.
I’ve heard that CICO doesn’t actually work, but I’ve read many stories of people on this and another thread that says otherwise, but if you can think of another way I can shed the pounds, please let me know!
