Tips for moving when you're injured??

For almost my entire life I was in super good shape. Sports was always a huge part of my life.

And then something happened, and I ended up with two bulging discs in my spine and on antidepressants. Now, somehow, in a little over 18 months, I put on a LOT of weight. Like 60 pounds.

I'm embarrassed, I avoid seeing people I used to know before because I feel like a massive failure.

I'm studying Human Nutrition at uni and know that I'm going to need to lose the weight in the next 2 years because NO one is going to go to an overweight nutritionist.

I'm embarrassed to even tell people what I'm studying because of the 'look' I get when I tell them. So I usually just tell them 'science' which explains the chemistry and physiology units I have to take.

To make matters even more complicated (and affect my self-confidence even more). My sis-in-law just had bariatric surgery and has lost almost 100 pounds in the past year and has been giving me 'nutrition' advice. She knows what I'm studying, she knows that she's lost weight because she's had to cut her intake back so far, but she still feels the need to rub it in. And it BURNS because I can't say anything.

But, my back is so sore and it only get worse the more stressed I get. How do you get fit when you can't MOVE??? Does anyone have any pointers?

I'm seriously open to any suggestions.
