So I've been fat my whole life, and so is almost my entire family. We were all in 140kg+ category. Recently, when i weighed myself and 150kg (I'm 190cm, male) showed up i realised that i want to change that, that i am miserable with myself. 3rd of March 2021 i have began to keep track of my calories intake. I try to eat under 2000kcal, and my weight, to my suprise actually fell to 138kg today. I' m so happy and proud of myself that i had to share, because i have found it to be completely sustainable for me; even more, i can actually limit my calories intake to 1600kcal most of the time, with a lot of chicken, eggs and fresh tomatoes as main part of my diet. Sadly, my family doesn't support me at all. They all tell me it's unnecessary, stupid, that i don't look that fat and so on; that does bother me but i don't let that get into my head and i am determined to lose about 50 more kg, to reach upper healthy BMI with 90kg. It's much harder though to resist eating fat, high calorie meals that are prepared every day and i must admit that saturday dinners stll do break my resolve. Overall i keep my daily average of 1800kcal in every week since the beginning, but i know that it would be a lot healthier for me to give up on fastfoods, especially since i feel i eat only because of gluttony, not hunger. Do you have any advices on how to keep diet in unfriendly to rhat household?
