Overcame an urge for fast food on the way to work.

I'd been saving my big meal for when I started my swing shift. I've been really good on calories al week.

I was really feeling the cravings hard and was passing all the exits to work thinking about all the fast food at each one. Mentally, I was ready to break down and get something.

But then I had two thoughts:

  1. I knew if I stopped and had fast food, it wouldn't be physically or mentally satisfying. I would get excited while I eat and then regret it almost instantly.

  2. I knew I had a really satisfying healthy meal waiting for me at work, all I had to do was make it to my office and it would be waiting for me.

I made the grudging decision to power past the exits and drove a little faster than I should. After a few exits, the cravings faded and I felt myself again.

Had a nice healthy dinner that felt filling and was regret free.
