I'm currently going through a very stressful period because of exams! I've noticed that I bloat more than usual and I've been sleeping pretty bad, like 4/5 hours per night. I wake up in the morning feeling so lethargic and the scale hasn't really budged. Also, my hunger is through the roof some days and not because I'm restricting calories, I guess it's hormone related and I hate it because then there are days where I have zero or normal appetite. I keep eating at a deficit and do my usual daily walk but it seems that everything I eat and drink is making me plateau or gain weight. A couple of nights ago I drank a lot of water and I'm not sure whether stress was the culprit here or what but I looked pregnant, I bloated so much that I couldn't sleep at all and I couldn't even pass gas, btw I'm also experiencing bowel discomfort. But...Can stress really be the cause? It's frustrating to keep doing everything right and not see any progress on the scale but besides that I NEED to sleep and I can't and this is so frustrating. I'm scared that I won't get any magical whoosh eventually. Keep in mind that my exams will last till the beginning of July, I'm not sure I'll handle this situation for 2 months straight. Do you have any tips, advice?
