Back in college, I (25M) was able over a course of about 6-7 months go from 272 pounds all the way down to 219 pounds, while following this sub religiously along the way.
Then Christmas break hit, then other social events hit, and I never got around to actually keeping myself on track, and started to gain the weight back. I've tried various times to lose the weight again, but I've never been able to reproduce those results. Today I'm around the 280 mark
I count my calories and limit my fast food and takeout meals, tried working out at home, but obviously what I'm doing isn't enough, and I'm not doing it the right way. I invested in a food scale, so hopefully that helps keep my calories more towards their actual amount
As for willpower and discipline, those are both shot. It seems no matter how hard I try, or what I try to do differently, nothing works consistently, or just doesn't work at all. It's really done a number on my self-confidence and self-worth, which leads me to just grab some cookies and really question why I bother
I'm incredibly tired of feeling this way. Does anyone out there have some kind of plan or regimen they stuck too that had results, and results that lasted? Or just anyway that they've found to keep their discipline and willpower on track? I'm open to anything at this point
