Day 1 - Try, try again

I have been on a roller coaster with my weight for the past nine years. I lost around 30 lbs and gained it, and more back. I was happy to see I’m not the only one on r/loseit.

I turn 30 in July and I’m disappointed that I still haven’t learned how to take care of myself even though I know how. I’m 5’1” and 223lbs. I have seen the scale hit 168 lbs before but that was years ago.

I know I need to do this for myself so my joints hurt less and I can do more of the things I love doing like workouts and hikes. I know I need to do this as an act of self care. It can be so overwhelming at times, but I know I can do it since I’ve done it before.
