Starting (again)

It’s been a while since I’ve been on this subreddit. Its bit of a rant, I (5’5” F, CW/SW: 176.8lbs GW: 125-130lbs) am sadly back to where I’ve started due to finals, stress, and many other factors. To put it simply, I have to lose 50lbs now instead of roughly 40lbs. From my tracker, I lose 5lbs a month. Which is fine, hopefully eating healthy, drinking more water, and running daily will kick me back to my original weight before gaining it again. That way I’ll be close enough to my goal weight to splurge on cute clothes for a vacation next year (completely social distanced + vaccines). Where the weather will be shorts and sandals. I don’t know why I made this I guess I just wanted to rant. Also any suggestions on keeping the weight off? Or best way to lose 6ish pounds a month? And can someone tell me how calorie deficits work? Please and thank you.
