I suppose that from the title above, you think that I have achieved my target. But I’m not there yet. As you can see, I’ve always been a chubby kid. But back in time, I didn’t care about weight. My mum convinced me that I become normal when I start to develop. But there was no miracle. I just started to gain weight and a lot of complexes in addition to extra pounds. My current weight is 176 lbs (height 5’5”), while I used to weigh 209 lbs.
I wanted to lose weight and tried different methods. I started with a most common mistake. I stopped eating at all. Well, I didn’t eat during the day, and I ate a lot of junk food at night because I was starving. As you probably got it already, I gained even more weight and didn’t lose anything. Besides, I thought that hunger helps to lose weight. But I had no idea that all lost pounds come back to you after you start eating regularly.
Luckily, I’ve met one good friend who explained to me in detail how I should eat to stop the weight gain process. She shared with me some tips on healthy eating. Besides, I never thought that healthy food might be delicious, including some healthy desserts yogurt- and fruits-based.
Also, workouts are crucial. I started with going to the gym, but my mistake was that I started with heavy weight lifting. I had no idea that muscle mass is way higher compared to fat. I gained more weight and started to look even more fat. Luckily, one fitness instructor explained this, and he recommended me to put all my effort into cardio. Now, I spend more time on a treadmill.
Later, I’ve added a couple of workouts I found in different magazines and video workouts. Also, I found a few tips on https://inshape.blog on how to get rid of hip dips. Those workouts are helpful, but only after a good cardio session.
I’m just at the beginning of my journey. I’m not going to put my current pictures since I feel shy about my body. But I will do it when I reach my first target.
