I was lamenting to my fiancé last Thursday about how I struggle to eat an adequate amount of protein. I was about to go make myself a peanut butter sandwich (my usual go to for extra protein) when he suggested I try a protein shake. We had some protein powder in the pantry. So I figured, why not.
I go downstairs, find the blender, and combine 2 scoops of the protein powder (chocolate), 3/4 cup milk, 2 tbsp of peanut butter, & some ice. I blend it allllllllltogether.....and it tasted like a dang milkshake. I hit my protein goal for the day, and was felt very satisfied and was not hungry until the next afternoon. Later that evening, I went to Aldi and picked up almond milk, spinach, frozen fruit, and bananas for my future shakes. I have drank one per day since last Thursday.
