My previous post seemed to anger and/or trigger some people, so I'm taking it down.
The point is: I choose to get back on track right after Christmas day. I do it because I know myself and I tend to make up excuses for myself and drag things. Also, I can do a LOT of damage to myself in only a few days.
I wanted to motivate everyone the way this sub has motivated me. To give a reminder to those who needed it.
Yes, 2020 sucked and we all deserve a break. Yes, we should all enjoy the holidays. Yes, you should eat what you want in Christmas and be guilt-free the next day.
But Christmas and holidays isn't about food. It's about family and vacation and pretty decorations everywhere. We can still enjoy it all without overindulging on food.
It's fine to loosen up but just don't forget about your goals, your promise to yourself. Live knowing that everyday is day 1 of your journey, that you don't need to wait until January.
Here are some strategies:
- Don't weigh yourself for a few days. Just don't.
- Freeze the unhealthy leftovers.
- Bury or give away the chocolate
- Drink lots and lots of water everyday
- Exercise, even if it's a walk around the neiborhood
- Avoid liquid calories
- Log your food on MyFitnessPal / Loseit
I wish you all the best. Stay healthy!
