There's no magic diet or better diet than you can sustain for a really long time.
Trust the process, enjoy the process and try to learn more about it. The more you educate yourself, the easier it will be for you.
It not sustainable and don't go for anything that you can't sustain for your entire life. Basic of choosing any diet is- ask yourself can you do this entire life? If the answer is YES, go for it. If the answer is NO. Then eventually you might end up at same place again.

Create a structured and sustainable diet for yourself. Keep your protein intake 1.5-2.2gms per kg body weight and fat minimum 0.6-1gm per kg of your body weight.
Create a sustainable and structured diet for yourself that you can enjoy and do for your whole life. Include strength training or anything you enjoy in your daily routine.
Where to start - roughly calculate your current intake with apps and tools online like myfitnesspal etc. Add everything like oils, sauces and snacks, everything, start from 200-300 calories less from there and keep protein intake high.
This is a general science stuff and things can be different from individual to individual but yes doing what you can sustain is the best.
