I've been logging my food since Thursday night, and right now, I'm both amazed and appalled.
Friday was pretty much my testing day to see what I was doing to gain so much weight lately. I mean, I knew it was my eating habits, but I didn't realize how bad it was until I was logging everything.
Friday (Dec. 4) I consumed at least 4,100+ calories. I'm embarrassed by myself, that I let this get so out of hand. But I'm using that day, and those numbers to really motivate me.
I'm not exactly sure where my caloric intake should be (got different numbers on all the counting apps I downloaded). So I'm playing it safe and setting it at 2,000. Figure that seems like enough to help in losing the weight.
I'm not sure if my scale is right, because Friday I was 266, and now I'm already down 3 pounds?
Saturday I was around 2,200 calories, and Sunday was around 2,900 calories. Still not meeting my goal, but I'm also using this beginning time to see where I need to make changes and get used to what takes up the most calories.
I'm really proud of myself, though. I'm finally taking the steps to a healthier life. And as hard as I know this is going to be, it feels oddly easy right now.
Through the weekend I wasn't starving, actually. I felt good, and I actually do feel better. I'm slowly going to start introducing exercise, and I couldn't be more excited.
