I put my goal clothes in totes, being pregnant has basically stopped my weight loss.

I’m 7 weeks pregnant. I’m probably around 170 lbs right now (I’m avoiding the scale as much as possible cuz it’s just sad tbh). I had the clothes I fit in a year ago hanging on doors so I was inspired to lose weight.

I started to lose weight for a week. I cut my calories and started walking more, then I started doing HIIT exercises for two days. I was proud of myself because I lost two pounds! I was on track to lose weight and feel happy about my body again!!!

Then I found out I was pregnant. I thought I was just severely out of shape which was why I couldn’t do the exercises but no. I was pregnant.

Obviously, I can’t exercise like I was planning to. I was told to not to HIIT exercises anymore. I was told by my doctor to walk and follow some maternity YouTube videos if I wanted to follow an exercise video. I can’t push myself anymore. I have to take breaks if I get tired.

I haven’t even lost weight from morning sickness. I eat food when I’m nauseous and it goes away. I’ve only thrown up twice. It’s just not bad morning sickness I guess.

But I am eating a lot of fast food because it’s all I can tolerate. I try to make similar dishes at home and it just makes me nauseous. Pickles, onions, tomatoes, potatoes, and spaghetti squash are the only veggies I can eat. I have found any fruit I can tolerate yet.

I feel hopeless about losing even one pound anymore because I have such intense cravings and I eat a lot so I don’t throw up.

I’m exercising still, I’m uncomfortable in my body still. My body is getting bigger now cuz my uterus is starting to expand a bit more. My stomach feels pretty hard and like there’s barely any fat on there even though I know there is(idk how to explain it).

Will I be able to lose weight while I’m pregnant? Idk. I don’t think I’m going to try. I’m probably just going to focus on trying to exercise without exhausting myself and eating healthier and see how that goes. I know it’s possible to lose weight while pregnant but I don’t know if it’s something I should focus on right now.

Maybe next year I’ll be closer to my goal weight of 130 lbs and I can fit into my clothes again. But for now, I’m giving up. I’m just going to cry on the floor of the closet, looking at the clothes that I can’t even get over my thighs anymore.
