And wow.
I’ve only been 3 weeks into CICO, and I can’t nearly eat as much as I used to back then.
I used to eat hundreds of calories over my maintenance, averaging around ~3000 a day. For the past 3 weeks, I’ve been eating 1200-1400 calories a day.
I’ve given myself 3 maintenance days for the holidays, starting with today. I planned an evening of extra snacks and a big dinner, just like I used to eat — only, even less so as I’ve carefully calculated everything to fit under my maintenance calories.
And yet, I’m not even halfway through and I’m completely stuffed.
I don’t know why, but this progress makes me so excited!
I used to worry that I was accidentally consuming way more calories than I’d planned — despite careful weighing and calculating — because I was actually feeling full with only 1200-1400 cals a day.
But now I’ve actually allowed myself to try, and I really can’t finish! I’m really happy as I used to have a big issue with overeating.
