Hey everyone. This has probably been asked before but I can't find anything. It's almost six am and I haven't gone to bed yet so apologies if I missed anything.
I did about six or seven months where I tracked everything on MFP, cut back significantly on sugar, walked an hour a day almost every day, and did my best to stay hydrated. My schedule was always awful, though, and I usually didn't go to bed until at least 3am.
I experienced certain positive changes: improved blood work and fitness/stamina. Noticeable muscle growth in my legs, especially my quads. But even though I've lost about 30 lbs so far, my stomach measurements haven't budged. I still have about...70 more pounds to go, if I can manage to get it off me.
Current daily calorie intake is 1700, which according to the website is well below my TDEE. When I do MFP and the food scale meticulously, I lose weight just fine, just not where I want to.
Is it normal for stomach fat to be the last to go? It's not so much about vanity -- I'm ugly anyway, so my physical appearance is honestly kind of secondary in general. But I hate having a diabetes/heart disease build. It wigs me out and makes me feel like all this work I'm putting in is for nothing. I feel like it'll never be enough to get me actually healthy.
Also adding that most of my excess weight is stored in my belly. As in, almost all of it. I'd guess like 85-90%. So this is really bugging me.
Anyone else been there and break through? How'd you do it?
