Hello, this is my first time posting on this sub and I need some advice. I (16M) am 5'10 and weight 273lbs. For most of my whole life I have struggled with being overweight. I have always been bullied and picked on about it. Ill be honest thought, I have really only myself to blame for the weight gain. I stopped playing sports in 3rd grade and pretty much ever since then, I haven't really workout and in my free time pretty much only play video games. However, last year we were required to take a swim class for 10th grade gym. This made me really self-conscious about my body and my weight. At that time I was 5'10 and 252lbs and I knew I had to make a change. That was in February 2019 from then to March 2020 I tried intermittent fasting. During that times there was times I was doing really well and lose a few pounds but then times I would give up. When March 2020 I managed to lose around 10lbs and my weight was 242lbs.
Just as I was at my lowest weight in two years the CVOID lockdown and quarantine hit. My school went fully virtually (It still is to this day of posting) and I've pretty much stayed home 24/7 and have done school and played video games. Due to this as of posting today I gained 31lbs and weigh 273lbs. This has me really upset since all of my work has gone down the drain and I now I am at the heaviest I have ever been. Now I know I have to really try and make changes for good. Last week, I was talking with my Physics teacher who is our schools wrestling coach about what I have been going through since he is one of my favorite teachers. Since he is the wrestling coach he suggest that I should join our schools wrestling teach since we only have one heavyweight and since I am looking to lose weight. I'm nervous about doing this but I think it will be very helpful for losing weight. I was also wondering if any one had other for tips for losing weight.
