Do I account for exercise in a low cal diet?

Stats: (F/ 5ft6/ 144lbs). My TDEE is 1742 Calories. To lose approx 1lb per week, I am reducing my intake by 500cal. Around 1200 calories per day.

I also started to exercise more often, and am trying to burn ~200-300 calories a day through exercise alone.

Should I account for exercise in my calorie intake? For example, if I burn 200cal through exercise, should I eat 1400cal instead of 1200 for the same results? Or should I eat 1200cal regardless of exercise? I'm worried if I do that it would put my body into starvation mode and I will gain weight once I stop eating in such a large deficit. However, if it's safe to eat 1200cal while burning 200-300cal, I would prefer to do that to see results sooner.
