I lost almost 40 kgs in 2018. I kept it off for 1.5 years, and then stress caught up with me, and my healthy habits dwindled.
I have gained almost all of it back, but I'm finally ready to go back to my healthy habits. I know I can do it because I did it before, and I know how to, so it should be fairly easy this time around.
I'll focus on simple rules, that I will follow each day:
- Intermittent fasting if I feel like it.
- Only snack on healthy stuff between meals, except on Fridays.
- Fill up on low calorie vegetables at dinner, by covering half my plate in salads
- More exercise that I enjoy. Time to play some VR games, and walk a lot, occasional run and HIIT training
This time I will reframe everything in my mind. I will be focusing on eating MORE, not less. So the idea is to eat more healthy low calorie options throughout the day, thereby limiting the amount of high calorie foods I can fit in my stomach. It works better for me psychologically.
I will be following the above for 1 month, while weighing myself each day, and tracking the weight. Then I will adjust if necessary. I have been doing this for 4 days already, and I suspect this strategy might be a bit too effective (I don't want to lose weight too fast), so I'll probably start eating more healthy fats soon.
Wish me luck!
