Hello everybody,
- 21M,
- Length:1,83 m (6 ft),
- Start Weight: 110 KG (242 lbs),
- Goal Weight: 80 KG (176 lbs).
TLDR down below
I am done with blaming everything and everybody for my current weight and eating habits. So yesterday I decided it was time for change. Yesterday was the first day of my MSc Artificial Intelligence, this would be the perfect time for change. From now on I will start a bit of a ramble on how I got to this point. Enjoy, I guess.
I've had eating addictions since I was 15, and while I got over the addiction a couple of years ago (I lost 20KG), recent situations have driven me back to this addiction. 1 year ago I realised that I was going down the wrong path in terms of my eating habits, I moved to a different country and lost a lot of social contacts and girlfriend. This resulted in me not eating normally anymore, I had breakfast, lunch and dinner with various types of snacks and junk food. And shortly after moving back to my home country and having the idea to improve my eating habits, COVID-19 hit. I again had no social interaction, and could no longer practice my favourite sport (MMA). So I went on with my habit of eating only snacks and junk food until I was sick.
But jump 5 month later, and I had the idea to start getting more and more serious in terms of MMA. Getting really motivated to do Competitions, and losing weight to make the preferred weight cut. This was one of the reasons to start with my change. Another, and less fun, reason is the fact that I realised that I could no longer fit into my clothes. And since I love fashion and anything clothes this was the last drop, I needed to change, and I needed to change fast. The final reason was my health and energy, I realised that I needed a lot of naps in a day, and that basic activities were getting harder and harder.
So now, I have created a dietary plan with a dietitian and bought meal replacement shakes for when I have no time to make/eat breakfast/lunch. I have created a training schedule together with my trainer to practice as much as possible. And because I can no longer go to the University physically (which was about 1.5 hours of biking a day), I've decided to go for a bike ride/run every day (unless it is training day).
Thank you for reading my rant.
