22 F starting weight-loss journey.. again

Hello there, lovely people of reddit.

I've been ogling this subreddit for quite some time now and I believe now is the time to start. I am 22f, 5'7 (171cm) and 187 pounds (85kg).

I've always been a chubby kid, and a chubby teenager. Bullying was definitely something that was happenening constantly, from ages 8 to about 17. It's something that has affected my self-confidence, especially back when I was a teenager. When I was 16, I dated this boy who was not handsome by societal standards. Loved him nevertheless, because he was funny and smart. People in my class were snickering and making off-hand comments about "us looking good together" and us "being made for each other physically". I told myself, hekk it, I'm gonna work out and lose some weight. I was, I believe about 147 pounds at one point. Also, eff you, Gloria I hope you step on lego.

But my diet and exercise regimen took a hard hit when I discovered that alcohol and especially beer was delicious (legal drinking age in my country is 16 for light alcohols, 18 for spirits). I've let myself slip a bit, not gonna lie. Now the 'rona shenanigans has sealed my fate, kind of.

My sister's getting married this February. It will be the first time I'll ever attend a wedding, as my family is fairly small and no one of my friends has tied the knot yet.

I want to get down to about 158 pounds (72kg). I am blessed with a rather curvy build, so I don't think I will look too good with too little meat on me.

My short-term goal is weighing less than 80kg (176 pounds). I hope to achieve this goal by the end of October. I know from my previous weight-loss journey that the pounds shed off quite easily in the beginning, so I believe that is a realistic milestone.

I am aiming for 0.5kg (bit more than one pound) of weight-loss per week. I have set myself a goal of going jogging 2x a week and doing at least 30 minutes of exercise a day. I love HasFit videos and yoga videos by Mady Morrison (she's German though).

Hope you did enjoy reading my waffling, and have a nice day!
