Over a week since I started to make better life choices for myself.

As the heading implies, it has been over a week since I started to make better decisions regarding food and starting to exercise. I would like to share with you what I've done over the last week. I have gone over a week without extra sugar or junk food. I did have a chocolate orange ice-cream (on a stick) this evening, as a treat, and that is not sitting well in my body. I just feel a little sick in the stomach and out of sorts because of the sugar. It also tasted too strong and sweet, so I reckon that my brain receptors are starting to re-calibrate again to a normal level.

I have done exercise, in some form, every day except for Sunday. I've decided to take Sunday's off to allow my body a chance to rest. Exercise has either been walking or doing some body weight exercise. As a result, I'm starting to sleep better because my body is actually doing something more than just sitting around all day. I also gathered up my courage to boot up Wii Fit and hop onto their scale. I will say that the weight number did really scare me as I knew I had gained a lot of weight in the last couple of years but not 15kgs. And I was already really overweight before putting on that extra amount. So I know that I really have my work cut out for me to lose all this weight I've gained and actually be healthy for the first time since I was a kid.

The goals I want to achieve by the end of the year are:

  1. To lose at least 10kgs.
  2. To be able to see my toes when I'm looking straight down.
  3. To be able to do 10 push ups and sit ups in a row.
  4. To eat more vegetables and fruit everyday, and prepared in a healthy way.
  5. To not do emotional eating anymore.

Thank you for reading this, I hope you have a good day.
