My lowest weight before last week was 83.8 kg. After another week of counting calories and making sure I wasn't exceeding, I got discouraged seeing the weight go back up to 85kg, even though I knew it had to be water retention.
Went on a 3 day holiday with family and ate without counting calories. breakfast buffets, Omeletes for 3 days, seafood, orange juice, spagetti. Junk food: 2x 130g packets of oreos, 6 picnic bars, basically just letting myself go for a bit.
Came back, weighed myself, 83.3 kg. Next day, 82.8 kg. Lowest weight so far during this journey.
Must be something like where you had to refill after a period of dieting to continue progress and push through the plateu? idk. more importantly the 3 days of eating freely, revitalized me to continue counting calories. Before the cheat period I was honestly getting tired of the daily routine and not being satisfied.
looks like reverse diets do have some merits to them (although now that I think about it, I didn't actually eat that much unhealthy foods except for the junk food. mostly I just ate more)
