I am exercising for 20 minutes everyday, doing planks, crunches, push ups and mountain climbers. I am quite disciplined in not eating food and can starve upto 48 hours. But as far as I am reading every latest research paper says it's counterintuitive and would decrease the metabolic rate which in turn would slow down my fat loss. My main goal is not to lose weight but decrease the fat, mainly in the abdomen. I know that spot fat reduction is not true (unless it's surgery). I am willing to chose unhealthy ways to lose weight quickly. The problem is I live with my parents and my mother cooks for us. I am not able to count calories and my mother often cooks unhealthy items as they are not concerned about their weight. They are discouraging me to lose fat. Saying I don't need it. But I want to get rid of the fat. I am also willing to cook for myself provided that it be easy (don't mind if it tastes bad). Also I don't have a scale for weighing the food I cook, can't buy one either. My main question is how much calories should I eat for maximum fat loss?
