Losing weight without stunting puberty growth.

15M/160cm/64kg

I've wanted to lose weight for a long time now, but I've been told many times that I am too young to lose weight, and that if I do, I'll stunt my puberty growth. Im sick of my weight and I feel as if it's harming my ability to socialize, and I have very bad self esteem issues due to it. I've decided I want to lose the weight, but I'm not sure how to do it without stunting my growth. I was thinking that I may be able to lose it just by going to the gym, but gym is far less effective than diet, however I'm constantly told that diet stunts my growth, so I'm in a hard spot in terms of losing weight rn. If anyone lost weight when they were 14-15 then I'd appreciate to know what you did, as I'm motivated to lose the weight but im just not sure how. Anything is helpful! :)

(Sorry for rambling post, tried to submit this 3 times but it's always too short...)
