Hi All,
I've read a couple of posts here and they're motivating me to get back on track to lose weight. I have struggled with being overweight almost my whole life. Currently, I'm at 210 lbs as a 5'4 woman. Not sure exactly what my problem is or where it went downhill but I think I had an unhealthy relationship with food since middle school. A lot of it came from my parents stressing me about my grades. Then my mom with all of the negative weight comments my entire life - including today. My boyfriend is tall and slim and she said I can't look good standing next to him without losing weight.
Earlier this year, in May, I started doing HIIT workouts with motivation from one of my best friends because I was nearly 220 lbs. We saw a loss in inches, but nothing on the scale. It sucks to see that you've been working out for a couple of weeks but the scale hasn't moved that much. I even tried Qsymia for 2 months but got off of it because i felt horrible. I was able to incorporate intermittent fasting and eat lunch and dinner and walk for about 45 minutes everyday. I lost a couple of pounds and come down to 197. But holiday season came around and I had to travel a bit so I'm back at 210. I'm sick of seeing myself in the 200s - I don't feel good about how I look or the larger size clothes I have to buy. I truly wonder what I would look like and feel like in a bikini; I would love to work towards that goal. Honestly, I just want to feel good about myself and do workouts for fun instead of doing them because I n e e d to.
I don't know if I should stick to intermittent fasting + walking or pair that with HIIT workouts. I just want to lose the weight and lose it permanently. If you have any suggestions or motivating stories, please let me know!!! I am starting up again tomorrow with the IF & cardio. Thank you!!
